Challenge:

The customer needed to wrap fiberglass rolls ranging in size from 20" to 50" in diameter and 20" to 108" in length. Safety was also a major concern.

Solution:

A highly customized WRT-CRW (Rotary tower roll wrapper) featuring a long list of options, including:

• 4' arm diameter extension
• 120” long powered cradle rollers
• Pit mounted cradle with surround plate
• ABB drives
• Banner Q45 series photoeyes
• Safety fencing on both sides and roll-up safety doors at each end
• Audible alarm
• Light Beacon for arm in motion
• Additional e-stop
• Flange mounted disconnect switch
