Technical Seminars

Please note: To ensure all participants benefit fully from our technical seminar, we have established basic technical skills and knowledge requirements that technicians MUST meet in order to take part in the seminar.


Installation, troubleshooting, Semi-automatic and Automatic Service:

Participants will learn, among other things:

  • How Wulftec utilizes the various components in its machines.
  • Recommended maintenance for Wulftec® stretch wrappers.
  • Diagnosing and fixing common problems.
  • How Wulftec builds semi-automatic and automatic systems and common options with theoretical and practical demonstrations.
  • How Wulftec interlock communication signals work.
  • How the Wulftec® machine runs in sequence, how to service, trouble shoot and install both semi-automatic and automatic machines.

Mandatory technical skills and knowledge
Attendees MUST have:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge including, but not limited to:
    • Chains: installation and servicing (lubrication and adjustment)
    • Gearboxes: installation and servicing
    • Bearings: installation and servicing
  • Basic electrical knowledge including, but not limited to:
    • Electrical component knowledge: relays, PLC, drives, photoeyes, switches
    • Electrical measurements: voltage, current, resistance, continuity
    • Electrical schematics

A diploma or certification in “Electromechanics” or similar course is recommended.


Participants should have one or more years of experience working on stretch wrapping systems in order to fully benefit from this course.

Level 3 Programming

Wulftec will offer a 3-day Programming Seminar every 2 weeks on a one-on-one basis. Participants will receive one day of theoretical learning and will assist in a machine start-up.


Participants will learn, among other things:

  • How Wulftec uses a state-logic structure to build its programs.
  • How Wulftec converts the state logic into ladder logic.
  • How Wulftec fragments the program into modular blocks to ease modifications and troubleshooting.
  • How the Wulftec® machine runs with the various automatic sequences.
  • Diagnosing and fixing common problems.

Mandatory technical skills and knowledge
Attendees MUST have:

  • Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Seminar Certification.
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge.
  • Computer experience.
  • Ability to go “on-line” with major brands of PLC and touch screens.
  • Understanding of automated systems and how sequences work.

Each participant is required to bring the following:

  • Safety glasses
  • Steel protected working shoes
  • Laptop computer

Mandatory equipment, software and cables.
Attendees MUST have:

  • Software: RS Logix 500
  • Cables: Allen Bradley 5⁄03 PLC: DF Cable 1747-CP3, SER A or cable kit 1784-PCMK4⁄B (included PCMK card + 2 DH485 & DH + cable)
  • Software: Panelbuilder 32
  • Cable: 2711-NC13

Participants will fully benefit from this course if they have programming certification from a recognized school and two or more years of experience working on stretch wrapping systems.
