ProMat 2013 – A Success for Wulftec!

ROMAT 2013 show
The PROMAT 2013 show which was held at the McCormick Center in Chicago from January 21 – 24 was a premier showcase of material handling, supply chain and logistics solutions in North America. Attendees saw in action the latest manufacturing and supply chain solutions and innovations the industry had to offer. Attendees also found solutions to help streamline their operations, maximize efficiency, cut costs, maximize supply chain security and reduce their carbon footprint. PROMAT 2013 was the second largest event in the history of PROMAT which dates back to 1982. The PROMAT show is sponsored by the MHI and was once again collocated with Automate 2013. The show hosted exhibitors and visitors from 125 countries, covered 300,000 net square feet of exhibit space with 785 exhibiting companies. Total registration for the event was 34,085. "By all accounts, ProMat 2013 exceeded exhibitors' and attendees' expectations," said George Prest CEO of MHI. "The energy level among visitors and exhibitors was at an all-time high. Visitors came to find solutions and innovative approaches to their manufacturing and supply chain challenges. They were greeted with a remarkable display of equipment and technology solutions that are key to their productivity and profitability."

Wulftec had on display the SMLCA-277 in-line with the VarioMaster 9440. This was the first material handing show were we displayed an automatic strapping system and the results were very pleasing. Also this year was the first year for MSS to display the hand held strapping tools in our MHI booth. MSS also had lots of success at this show. With the Wulftec strapper-wrapper combo and the MSS strapping tools, we had a 53% increase in leads when compared to Promat 2011! Our regional reps are working on current projects with these leads. The number of existing happy Wulftec customers was also very nice to see.
Our growth with integration firms can be linked to Wulftec attending and becoming more involved in the material handling industry.
